Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Heal Attachment ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

Heal Attachment is a self-guided somatic attachment healing platform. The Service provides educational content, guided practices, journaling tools, and AI-assisted reflection exercises.

3. Not a Medical Service

Heal Attachment is not a medical or therapeutic service. The content and tools provided are for educational and self-development purposes only. No therapist-patient, doctor-patient, or counsellor-client relationship is created by your use of the Service.

The Service is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact your local emergency services or a qualified mental health professional immediately.

Our therapist directory is provided as a convenience only. Heal Attachment does not endorse, employ, or contract with any listed therapist, and is not responsible for the quality or outcome of any therapy received through those referrals.

4. User Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service.
• One person per account. Account sharing is not permitted.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

• Free tier users can access a limited set of features at no cost.
• Premium subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe.
• Subscriptions renew on the selected monthly or annual billing schedule until cancelled. Any trial shown in Stripe Checkout is governed by the terms displayed there before purchase.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Account Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact [email protected] for refund requests.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you create within the Service, including journal entries, practice notes, and reflections. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

We will never sell your personal content or use it for advertising purposes.

7. Deferred Couple Features

Partner linking, partner-visible sharing, and shared couple exercises are unavailable in the current public launch. If those capabilities are introduced after the required safety review, these Terms and the applicable privacy controls will be updated before users can enable them. Historical linkage records retained under our Privacy Policy do not make deferred sharing available.

8. Prohibited Use

You may not:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
• Attempt to access other users' data or accounts.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service.

9. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from your Account Settings. Upon deletion:

• All your personal data will be permanently purged within 30 days.
• Any active subscription will be cancelled immediately.
• This action cannot be undone.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Heal Attachment and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which our principal business is located, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
